Tom Pyle
Tom Lafayette Pyle (Judge)

Outfielder Tom Pyle was a longtime minor leaguer who found success in many different leagues, mostly in the state of Texas. With the Ranger Nitros in 1922, he led the West Texas League with a .377 average. The next summer, playing for the Sherman Twins, he paced the Texas Association with a .359 average and 94 runs scored. In 1925, he hit .388 with the Greenville Hunters to lead the East Texas League. Two years later, with the Tyler Trojans, he clubbed a Lone Star League best 26 home runs. In 1935, at age 41, he hit .376 with 106 RBIs for the Tyler Trojans to lead the West Dixie League in both categories.
In addition to his years as a player, Pyle managed the Pensacola Flyers of the Southeastern League for parts of the 1929 and 1930 seasons.
