Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Jack Holloway played in the high-offense Texas-based leagues in the 1920s and 1930s. Of note, he hit .343 with 28 home runs in 104 games for the Tyler Trojans in 1924 and the next year, he batted .353 with 41 home runs in 116 games for the same club. He led the Texas Valley League with 17 home runs in 1927. In 1929, he served as manager of the Coleman Bobcats, replacing Carl Mitze and leading the team to a league championship.
