Biographical Information

Pitcher Bert Hise played in the minor leagues from 1902 to 1905, in 1908 and from 1910 to 1911. In his second campaign, he went 20-10 for the Corsicana Oil Citys. A few years later in 1908, he was 14-21 for the Galveston Sand Crabs; he redeemed himself in 1910, going 13-6 for Galveston. Overall, he was 56-52 in 123 games over 7 seasons. He managed the Gorman Buddies/Sweetwater Swatters to a 51-58, 5th-place finish in 1920.
