Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Albert Briscoe played in the minor leagues from 1920 to 1922 and from 1924 to 1932. He rattled off some solid seasons from 1924 to 1927, posting batting averages of .300, .339, .316 and ~.292, respectively. In 1928, he had a career year, slashing .370/.413/.639 with 24 home runs, 126 hits and 78 runs scored in 91 games for the Erie Sailors. He followed that with a .296 mark in 1929 and a .315 average in 1930.
He is listed as a potential manager of the Mineral Wells Resorters in 1922; the club went through as many as five skippers that year.
