The 2003 New York Yankees played the 101st season in team history. They finished with a record of 101-61, 6 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox. New York was managed by Joe Torre. The Yankees played at Yankee Stadium. In the playoffs, they reached the World Series before losing in 6 games to the Florida Marlins.
