1972 NAIA District Tournaments

The field of 97 teams in the 1972 NAIA Baseball Championship was broken down into 30 geographically based District Tournaments. Two Districts (5 and 28) gave the District championship to the champion of the only conference in the district. The four-team District tournaments were typically a double-elimination format (District 32 was single elimination while some were single-elimination first rounds), while the two-team tournaments were a best-of-three format. The top team in each bracket advanced to one of eight Area Tournaments.
