The United States national baseball team is a national team of United States and is controlled by the USA Baseball. It represents the nation in senior-level men's international competition. The team is a member of the COPABE. Team USA has boasted such prominent names as Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Barry Larkin, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Derek Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr., yet the team had only won four major international competitions through 2006, which represented a typical five-year span for the Cuban national team. Two of their four titles had come in years Cuba did not play - in the other two, they beat Cuba in the championship. In the 2007 Baseball World Cup, Team USA beat Cuba in the Baseball World Cup final for the first time ever. They repeated the feat in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. Their next major title was in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, led by MVP Marcus Stroman. USA went to the finals of the 2023 World Baseball Classic but lost to Japan.
A Team USA club was also fielded in the Arizona Fall League in 2003 and 2007.
