Premier 12
The Premier 12 was established by the International Baseball Federation after the Baseball World Cup and Intercontinental Cup had been abolished and baseball had been dropped from the Olympics. It thus became the IBAF's premier event. The Premier 12 features the top 12 teams in the international baseball world, based off the IBAF World Rankings. The initial Premier 12 was held in 2015. The 2019 Premier 12 was a qualifier for the 2020 Olympics, as baseball had been brought back for that year.
