Bolivarian Games
The Bolivarian Games are a multinational sporting event which began in 1938. It has featured baseball 15 times, most recently in 2022. The participating countries from 1938-2009 were Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama and Bolivia. Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Paraguay, Guatemala and Chile joined in 2013, but only Guatemala participated in baseball that year. El Salvador sent a team in 2017 and the Dominicans sent one in 2022; each of those three years, the rest of the field consisted solely of the traditional teams with one of the new invitees added in.
The governing bodies are the WBSC and COPABE.
