Talk:Bolivarian Games
Any record of the baseball results/winners? - --Mischa (talk) 10:01, 22 July 2015 (EDT)
There doesn't seem to be a single source. There's this for the 2013 games: http://bolivarianos2013.pe/BEI/Pages/Partido.aspx?Jg=2018&G=56&P=78&Ac=True. Alex (talk) 12:35, 22 July 2015 (EDT)
Found some results in the history section there. I'll try adding a results chart, though it's not my forte. - --Mischa (talk) 13:09, 22 July 2015 (EDT)
Got the results chart up but the medals chart is giving me trouble. - --Mischa (talk) 13:25, 22 July 2015 (EDT)
Fixed it. It wasn't the chart, it was an extra blank line in the flag templates for Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru that created the problem. --Philippe (talk) 05:56, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
Bolivia is shown to have won one bronze medal in the cumulative table, but it does not show up in the results table. Any explanation ? --Philippe (talk) 08:19, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
I made an error in the top chart in 2009, when Bolivia had the Bronze, not Colombia. Thanks for fixing the other problem as well - I guess we had never used those flag templates before!
One additional question: should we include detailed information for Games for which it is available, like 2013, with links to all players? Guys for Venezuela, Panama, Colombia have played in other major events (at least many of them) but it adds a lot of red links. OTOH, we've included players from the New Caledonia national team or Nigerian national team and I imagine Peru and Bolivia may be as good. - --Mischa (talk) 09:34, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
I don't see why not. Alex (talk) 09:56, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
If you are interested in writing articles for some of the 2009 Bolivarian Games participants, I found this list of players for the Bolivarian team and this one of Venezuelan players. Here is another link for the 2009 Games that you might find helpful: [1] Alex (talk) 16:08, 24 August 2015 (EDT)
Thanks; still working on 2015 (I have Bolivia and Ecuador done and part of some of the other countries) - --Mischa (talk) 16:09, 24 August 2015 (EDT)
Your work on these international tournaments is incredible. They are an oft-overlooked part of baseball. Alex (talk) 16:11, 24 August 2015 (EDT)
Here's the 2009 official site (or what wayback has of it) - http://wayback.archive.org/web/20100124185929/http://juegos.bolivarianos2009.org/es/calendario/Beisbol/4 - --Mischa (talk) 16:48, 24 August 2015 (EDT)
The Colombian baseball federation site says they won in 1947-1948 as well - --Mischa (talk) 14:38, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
