2009 Bolivarian Games
The 2009 Bolivarian Games were held in Sucre, Venezuela. Only three teams competed. Panama defended their Gold Medal from the 2005 Bolivarian Games.
Venezuela repeated as Silver Medalists.
Bolivia won their first Bronze, taking advantage of the thin field, missing prior #3s like Colombia and Ecuador. The most notable player was Venezuela's Leonel Campos, who would later pitch in the majors. See 2009 Bolivarian Games (Rosters)
