Evansville Otters
- Location: Evansville, IN
- League: Frontier League 1995-present
- Affiliation: Independent
- Ballpark: Bosse Field
Team History[edit]
In the spring of 1995, the Evansville Otters joined the independent Frontier League filling a gap in professional baseball left by the departure of the Evansville Triplets after the 1984 season. The Otters play their home games in historic Bosse Field, the first municipally-owned ballpark in the United States, and site of the movie A League of Their Own. The Otters quickly became one of the most popular teams in the Frontier League and in the long history of baseball in Evansville. The Otters continue to grow in popularity. Tickets to an Otters game are only $5.00, and parking is still free.
Games are broadcast on WUEV 91.5 FM, University of Evansville Radio.
