Biographical Information

Pitcher David Mead was selected in the supplemental 1st round of the 1999 amateur draft, 47th overall, by the Texas Rangers. He played in the minors from 1999 to 2004, but never made it past Class A. In 2001 and 2002 he had back-to-back seasons with records of 2-10 and 1-10 for the Savannah Sand Gnats of the South Atlantic League.
