A League Of Their Own is a motion picture starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna, Lori Petty, and Rosie O'Donnell. Released in 1992 and directed by Penny Marshall, the movie is based on the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League of the 1940s. Perhaps the film's most memorable line is delivered by Hanks, playing manager Jimmy Dugan, to Bitty Schram, playing pitcher Evelyn Gardner: "There's no crying in baseball."

The movie served to revive interest in the AAGPBL and its former players, after years of complete obscurity. It is often included in various critics' list of the best baseball movies ever made.
