Team History[edit]
The Ottawa Titans joined the Frontier League in 2021, beginning play the following year. In effect, they took over the spot vacated by the Ottawa Champions, who had last played in 2019, joining five other former Can-Am Association teams who went on to form the eastern division of an expanded Frontier League.
The team uses the traditional colors of Ottawa sports teams - red, white and black. These are shared by the NHL's Ottawa Senators, the Ontario Hockey League's Ottawa 67's, the Canadian Football League's Ottawa Red Blacks, and before that by the Ottawa Lynx (in contrast, the Champions used blue instead of black as their accent color). Its mascot, named Cappy, appears on the team's logo: it is a giant character seemingly come to life from Japanese animé, with bulging arm muscles, a large mouth with two teeth, but no eyes. In spite of this description, the mascot does not make little kids run away screaming in terror.
