The 2000 International League season was the 115th in the league's history, and ended with the Indianapolis Indians winning their first Governors' Cup since 1963. The Indians would go on to win the Triple-A World Series.

Buffalo and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre finished tied, so the teams held a one-game playoff for the North Division title September 5 in Scranton. The Bisons won the game 7-1, and this result is reflected in the standings below.
