Biographical Information[edit]

Utility player Chris Sexton played in the majors for the Colorado Rockies in 1999 and the Cincinnati Reds in 2000. He appeared in 35 games each season, and hit .220 with 1 homer and 17 RBIs between the two teams. He saw action at second base, shortstop, third base and all three outfield positions during his brief career.

His minor league career lasted from 1993 to 2002 and included six seasons in AAA. He hit .339 for the Colorado Springs SkySox in 1999 and .324 for the Louisville RiverBats in 2000. He did not have much power, however, never hitting as many as 10 homers in a season. Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, he was originally drafted by the Reds in the 10th round of the 1993 amateur draft out of Miami University.
