History, Comments, Contributions[edit]
The 1999 Colorado Rockies set a major league record by hitting a home run in 32 straight home games. While the team was not a particularly good one, finishing well below .500, this was the height of baseball's high-offensive era of the late 1990s-early 2000s, in the days of the "Blake Street Bombers", and before the introduction of measures such as the humidor to constrain some of the extreme offensive numbers in Colorado: the conditions were thus perfect to set such a record. It stood until tied by the 2019 Los Angeles Dodgers, who did so over two seasons.
