Windsor, ON
(Redirected from Windsor, Ontario)
Windsor is located in southern Ontario, at the mouth of the St. Clair River as it flows into Lake St. Clair, and across the river from Detroit, MI.
In addition to players born there, at least two players born in Italy, Hank Biasatti and Reno Bertoia, lived in Windsor. Bertoia came to the city when he was 22 months old and grew up there. He also worked there for many years after his baseball days.
Windsor hosted the World Junior Championship in 1986, 1987 and 1993. Teams from Windsor represented Canada in the 1966 and 1972 Little League World Series.
