Biographical Information[edit]
Clarence Currie was only in the majors for two seasons but he pitched in 53 games, starting 38 of them. In his first year he went 10-9 but in his second year he slumped under .500. He led the league in Games Finished in 1903.
From 1904-07 he pitched for Toronto and Buffalo. He went 18-10 for Toronto in 1904.
He is one of three players (through 2008) with the last name Currie, with the others being Bill Currie and Murphy Currie.
He was the second major leaguer born in Windsor, ON, after Jerrie Moore.
