Biographical Information[edit]
Jason Bryans has been a minor league pitcher and a scout.
Bryans was taken by the Kansas City Royals with their 49th and final pick of the 1989 amateur draft. He was 1-2 with a 2.08 ERA in 7 starts that summer for the GCL Royals. He did not play in 1990. In 1991, he was with the Eugene Emeralds (2-0, 0.95 in 7 G, 22 K in 19 IP) and Appleton Foxes (1-0, Sv, 5.03 in 18 G). Overall, he had gone 4-2 with a save and a 2.98 ERA in 32 minor league games. In 87 2/3 IP, he allowed 73 hits (0 home runs) and 35 walks while striking out 76. In 1994, he was brought back by the Royals as an area scout and was promoted to a regional supervisor for the Midwest in 1997. He signed David Lough and Mitch Maier.
