The 2014 Korea Baseball Organization season was the 33rd for the KBO. The league saw a big offensive explosion, as team ERAs ranged from 4.29 to 6.35 and team averages from .279 to .301. A change in the balls used was assigned some of the blame. Geon-chang Seo became the first player in league annals to collect 200 hits in a year. Jung-ho Kang set a record for homers by a shortstop (40).

Awards[edit]

The KBO MVP was Nexen Heroes second baseman, Geon-chang Seo, who led the league in hits, doubles, triples, runs and average. The Rookie of the Year was Min-woo Park of the NC Dinos, who hit .298 and stole 50 bases (second in the league).

The following players won Gold Gloves, which in the KBO go to the best overall player at each position are not a defensive (only) award.
