Biographical Information[edit]
Sang-soo Kim has been an infielder in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Kim began his KBO career in 2009 with the Samsung Lions; the teenager hit .245/.309/.324 and stole 18 bases in 26 tries. He batted .246/.346/.293 in 2010 with 30 swipes while being caught six times. He tied for 7th in the KBO in steals. In 2011, Sang-soo produced at a .278/.362/.352 clip with 29 steals in 36 attempts. He was 6th in the KBO in steals, between Yong-kyu Lee and Joo-chan Kim, The Lions won the 2011 Korean Series.
In 2012, Sang-soo hit .274/.345/.351 and went 25-for-36 in steal attempts. The Lions won the 2012 Korean Series. Kim was then put on the South Korean national team roster for the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
