Biographical Information

Min-woo Park was named KBO Rookie of the Year in 2014.

Park stole 8 bases to help South Korea finish second in the 2011 Asian Junior Championship. The NC Dinos took him in the second round of the 2012 draft. He saw limited action in 2013 (.268/.293/.340 in 41 AB, 32 G). He improved significantly in 2014, hitting .298/.399/.392 with 50 steals in 60 tries and 87 runs. His lone homer that year came off Woo-chan Cha. He missed the league's top 10 in runs by one, was second in steals (three behind Sang-soo Kim) and tied Dae-hyung Lee for second in triples (9, 8 behind Geon-chang Seo). He was named KBO Rookie of the Year, joining MVP Seo in a theme of speedy second basemen taking home big awards. Park had 71 of 99 votes to 15 for Sang-woo Cho and 13 for Hae-min Park. He was the second straight Dinos player to win, following Jae-hak Lee.
