Biographical Information[edit]

Hae-min Park led the Korea Baseball Organization in steals two of his first three seasons as a regular.

Park was the regular left fielder for the South Korean national team in the 2011 Baseball World Cup. Though he usually hit 9th, he was one of their top performers, hitting .305/.375/.417 with 3 runs and 6 RBI in 12 games. He tied Chang-min Mo for second on the team in RBI, two behind Joo-hwan Choi. He had 15 putouts and no errors. His best play came against the Dominican national team; down 4-1 with two outs and two on in the 9th, he homered off former major leaguer Darío Veras to tie the game. South Korea won in extra innings.

The Samsung Lions signed him and he got into one game for them in 2013 but did not bat. He started playing regularly the next year, hitting .293/.381/.368 with 35 steals in 43 tries as Samsung would go on to win the 2014 Korean Series. He was 5th in the 2014 KBO in steals, between Dong-hwa Cho and Jae-won Oh. He tied Soo-bin Jung, Jong-ho Kim and Yong-kyu Lee for the league lead in triples, led in steals (14 ahead of Min-woo Park) and leading with 23 sacrifice hits (one ahead of Cho).
