Biographical Information[edit]

Jong-ho Kim played in the KBO for 7 years.

Kim was drafted by the Samsung Lions in the fourth round of the 2007 KBO draft, and he stayed in the minors for his first six seasons; he only got 13 at-bats combined with the big club. He also missed two seasons due to military service. The NC Dinos selected him in the expansion draft, and he was named their leadoff hitter. Kim hit .277/.376/.333 with 7 triples in 2013, and he led the league with 50 steals. He had a .262/.316/.341 batting line in 2014, then he hit .295/.364/.394 with 41 steals in 2015. He led the league in triples, and he was 4th in steals (between Dae-hyung Lee and Eric Thames). Kim only played 93 games with a .295/.368/.312 batting line in 2016, and he stayed in the minors for nearly the entire 2017 season. He was released after that season, and he became the minor league fielding coach for the Dinos in 2024.

Overall, Kim hit .280/.357/.351 with 376 hits and 6 homers in 7 seasons in the KBO.
