Biographical Information[edit]
Dae-hyung Lee is one of the top base-stealers in the Korea Baseball Organization. Lee signed with the LG Twins after high school and hit .245/~.273/.358 in 47 games in 2003, stealing 7 bases in 10 tries. In 2004, he was 1 for 11 with 2 steals. He played 107 games in 2005 but only got 127 AB. He hit .268/~.331/.315 and stole 37 bases while being caught 9 times. He was third in the KBO in swipes, 6 behind teammate and leader Yong-taik Park.
In 2006, Lee slumped to .258/~.281/.277 and only stole 15 bases in 23 tries. He made major strides in 2007, when he hit .308/~.368/.348 and stole 53 bases in 73 attempts. He led the KBO in steals, six ahead of Jong-wook Lee. He won a Gold Glove as one of the three top outfielders overall in the KBO (the Gold Glove is not solely a defensive award as it is in the USA or Japan).
As of early September 2008, he had set another career high in steals.
