1986 Korea Baseball Organization

The 1986 Korea Baseball Organization was the 5th KBO season. The Haitai Tigers won their second title, the first of four in a row. Haitai ace Dong-yol Son won the first of fifth pitching Triple Crowns and three MVPs. The league expanded to an unusual 7-team format, with the addition of the Binggrae Eagles, a format it would keep for five years.

Awards[edit]

The KBO MVP was Dong-yol Son. The KBO Rookie of the Year was Geon-u Kim.

The following players won Gold Gloves, which in the KBO go to the best overall player at each position are not a defensive (only) award.
