Biographical Information[edit]

Sin-bu Kim pitched in the KBO for 5 years.

Kim was drafted by the Nankai Hawks in the first round of the 1981 NPB draft, but he didn't have a single big club appearances until the Hawks released him in 1985. He then went to Korea and signed with the Chungbo Pintos, and he was 10-10 with a 3.21 ERA in 1986. He led the league in hits allowed, and he was 9th in strikeouts (between Jeong-soo Kim and Si-jin Kim). Kim went 6-11 with a 4.04 ERA in 1987, and he was 9-8 with a 3.87 ERA in 1988. He had a 5-5 record with a 4.31 ERA in 1989, and he was traded to the LG Twins for Gil-hwan Lee. Kim was 2-2 with a 4.09 ERA in 1990, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Kim was 32-36 with a 3.73 ERA, struck out 197 and pitched 599 innings in 5 seasons in the KBO.
