The 1989 Korea Baseball Organization was the 8th KBO season. The Haitai Tigers won their 4th straight title, while Haitai ace Dong-yol Son took his 2nd MVP and third pitching Triple Crown.

The KBO MVP was Dong-yol Son. The KBO Rookie of the Year was Jeong-hyeon Pak.
