2007 Korea Baseball Organization
The 2007 Korea Baseball Organization was the 26th Korea Baseball Organization season. The MVP was Danny Rios, a pitcher for the Doosan Bears. Born in Spain to Cuban parents and raised in the US, Rios was the second foreigner to be named KBO MVP and the first non-Asian to win 20 games in the league. He went 22-5 with a 2.07 ERA, the most wins in the KBO since Hiroaki Fukushi[ back in 1983. The SK Wyverns won their first Korean Series title, guided by rookie skipper Man-soo Lee. Also notable was the return to Korea of Hee-seop Choi, the first Korean position player in the majors; Choi hit .337/.386/.528 in 52 games and would have finished second in the batting race had he qualified.
The Hyundai Unicorns played their last season; the Woori Heroes replaced them in 2008.
