The 2006 International League season was the 120th in the league's history, and ended with the Toledo Mud Hens winning their second straight Governors' Cup. The Mud Hens would go on to lose the first Bricktown Showdown.
Toledo and Indianapolis finished tied, so the teams held a one-game playoff for the West Division title September 5 in Toledo. The Mud Hens won the game 4-0.
