Bricktown Showdown
The Bricktown Showdown, was a one-game playoff between the champions of the International League and the Pacific Coast League. Played at SBC Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Showdown was first held in 2006. It took the place of such institutions as the Junior World Series and Little World Series of past decades. In 2009 the game was renamed the Triple-A Baseball National Championship.

Game MVPs[edit]
- 2006: Scott Hairston, Tucson. Hairston went 2-for-4, and drove in the game's first run.
- 2007: Lou Merloni, Sacramento. Merloni went 2-for-5, hit a 3-run homer and drove in 4 runs for the game.
- 2008: Chris Gissell, Sacramento. Gissell pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win.
