Williamsport, PA
Williamsport is located in central Pennsylvania, on the Susquehanna River, 40 miles north of Sunbury, PA and 60 miles west of Wilkes-Barre, PA. A former center of the lumber industry, it is home to the annual Little League World Series.
On August 20, 2017, a major league game was played in Williamsport for the first time as the St. Louis Cardinals faced off against the Pittsburgh Pirates at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field in a nationally-televised Sunday night game to mark the holding of the 2017 Little League World Series. The game was a great success and became the first edition of the "MLB Little League Classic".
