Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Leon Foulk spent eight years in the minors, including a handful of games at Triple-A. He began his professional career as an 18 year old in 1944, pitching a single game for the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League.

The hurler won more than 10 games twice, in 1947 -- when he was 15-13 with a 3.47 ERA in 32 starts for the Hutchinson Cubs -- and in 1951, when he was 15-11 with 3.25 ERA in 32 games for the Des Moines Bruins. On July 27 of that year, he tossed a no-hitter against the Denver Bears. In 1952, he had a 2.90 ERA between the Tulsa Oilers and Triple-A Toronto Maple Leafs. His final campaign was 1953.

He served in the Navy during World War II.
