Mountain States League
A league called the Mountain States League operated as a class D league in 1911 and 1912. It was based in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. Prior to that, it had been known as the Virginia Valley League. In 1911 Point Pleasant-Galipolis moved to Middlepoint-Pomeroy on July 1. The season ended September 12 when an investigation was conducted concerning two cases of improper conduct to prevent Middleport-Pomeroy from winning second half title. In 1912 Middleport-Pomeroy moved to Montgomery on June 16, then disbanded on June 29. Charleston disbanded July 1. Ashland-Catlettsburg and Huntington disbanded disbanded July 8, ending the season and the league.
Another circuit using the Mountain States League ran from 1948 - 1954 This league was also a class D until 1953, before spending one final season as class C in 1954. Harlan, KY & Morristown, TN were represented for the full 7 year run. In 1954, Morristown disbanded May 15, Maryville-Alcoa moved to Morristown June 19, then disbanded on July 7, Lexington disbanded on July 7, and finally, the league disbanded July 20.

# Point Pleasant-Gallipolis (16-32) moved to Middleport-Pomeroy July 1st. First home game July 8.
The season ended September 12 when an investigation ordered by the National Association disclosed two cases of improper conduct in late season games to prevent Middleport-Pomeroy from winning the second half title. These games were deducted at the fall meeting.
