Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Bill Sisler pitched for 43 different teams in a career that spanned from 1923 to 1948 (many sources say he signed over 50 contracts). Only once did he win more than 5 games for a team in a given season, when he was 8-10 for the Staunton Presidents in 1942. Sisler pitched eight games in the International League in 1944 and two games in the American Association in 1945, the highest he would reach.

Sisler also coached in the minors. He ran baseball camps for youngsters in Canada, Delaware and Florida after his playing and managerial career ended.
