Korea Baseball Organization Rookie of the Year
The Korea Baseball Organization Rookie of the Year is given to the player judged the Korea Baseball Organization's best rookie player. It was first awarded in 1983, the league's second season as in 1982 all players were "rookies". In 2006, Hyun-jin Ryu, a pitcher with the Hanwha Eagles, became the first (and as of 2024 only) person to win both the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player Award in the same season.
