2014 Fall Stars Game
The 2014 Fall Stars Game was the ninth Arizona Fall League All-Star Game. It pitted the East Division against the West Division. It was played on November 1 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
Result[edit]
The East Division beat the West Division 6 to 2. It got on the board first in the second inning, tallying four runs against West starter Nick Howard. Greg Bird slugged a solo home run that inning. The West scratched a run in the top of the fifth and again in the top of the sixth -- the latter thanks to a home run by Hunter Renfroe -- but the East neutralized it with a run of their own in the bottom of the frame. They scored once more in the bottom of the eighth. Howard took the loss; East starter Archie Bradley earned the win. Of note for the West, all of Parker Bridwell's outs were strikeouts in the inning he pitched.
