Biographical Information

In a strange twist, infielder Daniel Castro made his major league debut on the same day as Akeel Morris, who shares his birthdate of November 14, 1992. That day, June 17, 2015, Castro singled as a pinch-hitter for Nick Masset in the 7th inning of the Atlanta Braves' 5-2 win over the Boston Red Sox. It was a key hit, as it came in the middle of a two-run rally that put the Braves ahead for good. Daniel played a total of 98 big league games in three seasons, hitting .210/.240/.265 in 272 at bats.
