Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Trevor Gott was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 6th round of the 2013 amateur draft. Mark Conner was the scout. Gott had set the University of Kentucky record with 23 saves in a year. On July 21, 2014 Gott was traded along with Huston Street from the Padres to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for Taylor Lindsey, R.J. Alvarez, Jose Rondon and Elliot Morris.

Gott made his major league debut for the Angels less than a year after the trade, on June 14, 2015, when he pitched a scoreless inning in relief against the Oakland A's. In spite of being in the minors for the first two and a half months of the year, he still made 48 appearances for the Angels, going 4-2, 3.02 in 47 2/3 innings. On December 11th, he was traded to the Washington Nationals along with Michael Brady in return for Yunel Escobar.
