Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Raul Mondesi Jr. is the son of Raul Mondesi and the brother of Raul Mondesi. He played three seasons in the low minors in the Milwaukee Brewers chain.

He began his career in 2010 with the DSL Brewers when he was only 17, hitting .233 with 2 homers and 18 RBIs in 36 games. He was back with the same team in 2011 and .267 with 5 homers and 26 RBIs in 54 games, earning a ticket to the United States. He spent 2012 with the Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League, where he hit .231/.282/.374 in 68 games. Still only 19, he hit 12 doubles, 6 triples and 5 homers, scored 43 runs and drove in 32, although he did have 87 strikeouts against 14 walks. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for Burke Badenhop after that season, but did not play for them, bringing his career to an end.
