1955 Asian Championship
The 1955 Asian Championship was the second Asian Championship. It took place from December 10 through December 18 in Manila, the Philippines.
Japan took the first of many Golds in Asian Championship competition. The team boasted future Japanese Baseball Hall of Famers Shigeo Nagashima, Tadashi Sugiura and Noboru Akiyama among other collegians who would star in the professional ranks over the next couple decades.
Chinese Taipei won Silver.
South Korea took home Bronze.
Philippines fell from a Gold in the first Championship to last this time.
