Johnstown is located in western Pennsylvania, 70 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA, on the Conemaugh River. It was an important steel town, known for a history of labor activism and violent strikes, and for devastating floods that occurred in 1889 (the Johnstown Flood), 1936 and 1977. It is also the site of the annual tournament of the All-American Amateur Baseball Association.
