2023 Central League Most Valuable Player Award

The 2023 Central League Most Valuable Player Award went to Hanshin Tigers ace Shoki Murakami, who became the first CL player ever to win the Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season. He also broke the NPB record with his 0.741 WHIP, and won the CL ERA title as his numbers were 10-6, 1.75, 137K in 144 1/3 IP.
