1956 Central League Most Valuable Player Award
The 1956 Central League Most Valuable Player Award went to Yomiuri Giants ace Takehiko Bessho, who led the league with 27 wins while posting a 1.93 ERA. Teammate Wally Yonamine was 2nd after winning the batting title, in his bid to become the first American to win the honor.
