2006 Central League Most Valuable Player Award

The 2006 Central League Most Valuable Player Award went to Chunichi Dragons outfielder Kosuke Fukudome, who led the league in average (.351), runs (117) and doubles (47) while winning a Gold Glove as well. The voting was heavily dominated by Fukudome and teammates Kenshin Kawakami, Tyrone Woods and Hitoki Iwase with no one else getting more than ten votes.
