1999 Central League Most Valuable Player Award
The 1999 Central League Most Valuable Player Award went to Chunichi Dragons Ace Shigeki Noguchi, who led the league with 203 2/3 inning and helped his team won the Central League championship. Rookie Koji Uehara won the Central League pitching Triple Crown and had more 1st-place votes but lost to Noguchi with fewer 2nd-place and 3rd-place votes.
