2006 World Baseball Classic (Umpires)
The Umpires for the 2006 World Baseball Classic were announced on February 24, 2006. There were 31 umpires chosen to work the World Baseball Classic, along with five alternates. The umpires represented 11 of the 16 competing countries. The majority of the umpires worked in the minor leagues of Major League Baseball, and were backups for the MLB's crews.
