1972 Division II College World Series

The 1972 Divsion II College World Series was held at Lanphier Park in Springfield, IL. The four schools qualified by winning one of four regional tournaments. The tournament was won by Florida Southern College, coached by Hal Smeltzly. The runner-up was San Fernando Valley State College. Florida Southern pitcher Jay Smith was named the series Most Outstanding Player.
